I am the original owner of this rock man that I bought new in the 80's. This also has the power adapter which is hard to find and you don't need batteries. This sounds way better than the new MXR 100. I Haven't used it that much since I bought it so it should provide years of enjoyment. This nails the tone of Boston and Def Lepperd
