Selling my 1950 Mercury. Four doors with rear suicide doors. Car is a true survivor, unmolested. 38,772 miles. Car was cared for and pampered by one gentleman for many years. No rust. All original in and out. Few nuts, bolts, or screws have been turned. Original 75-year-old maroon lacquer paint shows well but shows cracking. Original interior is in excellent condition. Interior chrome and bright work like new. Doors and windows function like new. Even tube radio works.
All original drivetrain. Original Merc flathead 8 stills shows original paint on the engine block. Original radiator looks like new. No dings no leaks. Runs cool does not overheat. 3 speed manual trans w/overdrive. Car runs and drive great for the 1950s. Manual brakes are excellent. Again, few nuts' bolts or screws were ever turned. Excellent tire tread. New 6V battery. Starts easily. Can barely here it running. Very smooth. A very very nice car.
This car should be in a museum.
