Seldom seen knife - AND the last 200 knives were customized by ASHVILLE STEEL ( same town that MOD masters of defense was located in). Very nicely done !!
Masters of defense - MOD knives were issued to some of our military special forces . Not junk knives . Do your research.Not debatable , high end - high quality knife. ( rare little known version - not upgraded by a guy in his garage! ).. Asheville steel a company that makes high quality knives also ( not cheap).
The last of these Black wing blades were given this custom upgrade to take care of some slight issues. The small handles were upgraded and enlarged with G 10 custom handles (a blood red or a coyote tan handle knife is available). A Kydex sheath was custom-made, and a tech lock included… a very nice complete upgrade. ( This can be compared to tricking up / customizing a firearm).
No disappointments $500 new ( for the standard mass produced version).(so shouldn’t this cost another $200 more? (700))

MOD great company ; knive were often carried by our BEST TROOPS ; was one of the last that were made ; and these were the seldom seen Non - serrated. Folks are what 50 50 divided on this issue. Personally,I’m with nonserated bunch.
