The rack has a lock to keep it from being stolen. It can be tilted back with bicycles in place in order to open the trunk. It can be colapsed against the trunk when the bicycles are not on the rack. Collapses for easy storage
Adjustable for different will bases. Up to 3 inch tires.
Carrier is NOT suitable for e bikes.
I put the carrier on my former automobile in May and did not remove it until November. Very convenient.
